A branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc (SCA), the Shire of Cragmere meets often to learn, to teach, and to enjoy each other's company within the framework of the society's goal: to revive some of the better aspects of the European Middle Ages and early Renaissance. Shire Activities
Social NightsCall the Seneschal (Meredith) for details: 338-2891 or email Meredith. All are welcome to our Social Nights. Generally held in garb, a potluck, and with activities similar to what might be found at larger events, but focused more on socializing. |
Fighters PracticeWe have Archery, Heavy-armour, and Rapier (fencing) practices. Courtenay regular practices are on hold for now. Campbell River fighting practices are on hold for now. April 30th – no meeting, as it is the day after an event; possibly armored and rapier fighting in yard of train station in Courtenay. Contact our Master of Stables (Doireann) at 923-9102 or email Dori for details on any of the combat arts. |

Council MeetingsCouncil is held the first Sunday of the month. Everyone welcome! Contact any officer for update on the venue. April 20th. Council – business meeting for the month. *usually held on the 1st. Sunday* 3:30 p.m. at the Courtenay Train Station (last door off the side parking lot); call Meredith for further directions (338-2891); everyone welcome! (Birthday cake will be served!) May 4th - Council – discuss Insula Magna event! |
