Feast of the Great Khan

Saturday, December 1, 2007
March 10, 2007
Courtenay, B.C.
Doors open at 4 p.m.

For the first time in history the world is at peace.

The lands of the Chin, the Rus, the Indus and Persia lie under the rule of our heavenly Khan in the greatest empire under the everlasting sky! All is peace within the empire and for many days ride in the pacified lands without. It is said that a naked virgin with an open basket full of gold can walk the length and breadth of our empire without molestation, such is our peace.

At this time Chingus Khan, the Great King, Benevalant ruler under the Everlasting Sky does proclaim a great feast shall be held in honour of this peace. Invitation is extended to you, the ambassadors of the world within and without (and mistake not our kind tone: the Emperor Pope did and we laid waste to his lands to as far as Vienna to the south, and Paris and Warsaw to the west, but, we are a simple people, so be not afraid.) There shall be games and dance and merriment. Foods shall be presented for the delight of all; the origin of these taste delights shall be from throughout our peaceful empire with dishes from all the hordes within the lands named above as the possessions of the Great Khan.

The Feast of the Great Khan shall be hosted by the Khanate of Cragmere
